Protecting nasal mucus

Discover

Substances that help mucus defend itself against aggressive agents and allow it to quickly return to a healthy state can be useful in the case of inflamed or irritated mucus. Mucus congestion and irritation, typical of illnesses like colds, allergic rhinitis and sinusitis ( both acute and chronic ) , can be treated with combinations of vegetable substances protecting the nasal mucus, reducing irritation and speeding up recovery. In the case of viral or bacterial infections and contact with other irritants or allergens , the mucus is “attacked” and damaged. Protecting the mucus from coming into contact with what is damaging it is, therefore, a useful form of treatment. Suitably extracted and processed vegetable molecular complexes can be used for this purpose due to the way they attach to the mucus to form a protective film or “barrier” against the irritants.
